Job summary

IHA Forum in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Gas Operations Technician to manage start-up, shutdown and routine operation of a variety of equipment at the main compressor station on an assigned shift.

The role includes patrolling the plant, performing electrical and mechanical isolation for permits, conducting gas tests, issuing permits and ensuring safety compliance to maintain safe, reliable plant operations and quick response in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Control Room in Natural Gas Operations.
• Diploma in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Natural Gas Control Room operations.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patrols of the compressor station to monitor equipment.
• Perform start-up, shutdown and routine operation of equipment.
• Isolate equipment electrically and mechanically for maintenance and permit to work.
• Issue permits for maintenance activities and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisor.
