Job summary

Escape the Room Dubai is seeking a Game Master/Actor to open the center, run pre-game briefings, and guide teams through immersive experiences in a Dubai location.

The role requires flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and nights, with overtime paid when necessary. You will monitor games, provide hints, reset rooms, and help with on-site events while maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PC usage is essential.

Responsibilities

• Open the center by activating devices in the control room and ensure air conditioning and ethernet connections are working.
• Conduct checkups to ensure each room is ready for games.
• Lead playing teams by explaining rules and safety information.
• Ensure pre-game requirements are met and conduct pre-game briefing.
• Answer questions from players and guide them into the room.
• Monitor teams during the game and provide hints as needed.
• Escort teams back to the reception area and reset rooms after games.
• Make emergency repairs or replacements to damaged game items and report needs to the Operations Manager.
• Shut down devices, lights, and A/C and keep the control room organized at closing.
• Assist operations in events like birthdays, team buildings, and portable rooms.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report any risks to the Operations Manager.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Branch Manager or Operations Manager.

• The Game Master/Actor shall participate in opening the center by activating all the devices in the control room and air conditions and check the required ethernet connections.
• the Game Master/Actor shall conduct checkup tours to check each room’s conditions and make sure that they are ready for conducting the games.
• The Game Masters/Actors will lead the playing teams informing them of the rules, guidelines and required information's for a safe game.
• The Game Masters/Actors shall ensure that all pre-game requirements are met and carry out the pre-game briefing.
• The Game Masters/Actors shall answer the proposed questions and then lead them into the room.
• The Game Masters/Actors shall Monitor the team throughout the game and send them hints whenever needed.
• Leading the teams back to the reception area.
• The Game Masters/Actors shall reset the room when the game is done.
• Making emergency repairs and replacements to damaged or broken game items and reporting any potential repairs to the Operations Manager.
• The Game Masters/Actors shall Shut down all the devices in the Control Room, the lights, electronic devices, and the air-conditioners, and make sure that the control room is fully organized and clean when the closing the center.
• Assisting the operations team in conducting the Birthdays, team building activities and portable rooms events.
• Ensure a safe working environment for self, other staff and customers by dealing with immediate H&S issues and reporting any potential risks to the Operations Manager
• Additional related tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager or the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Be open to flexible schedules, including mornings or evenings.
• Willingness to work paid overtime when necessary.
• Availability for weekends and nights.
• Commitment to a six-day work week with one weekday off.
• Ready to participate in escape room acting's as needed.
• Proficiency in PC usage is essential.
• Immediate joiners will be given priority.
