Job summary

Aventus, a leading international law firm, is expanding its Middle East Investment Funds practice in Dubai and seeking an ambitious Funds Associate to join the team.

You will advise fund sponsors, asset managers, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds on a broad range of regional and cross-border funds matters, including formation, structuring and GP/LP arrangements, with exposure to DIFC/ADGM structures and cross-border fundraising.

Qualifications

• Experience in private investment funds or funds formation.
• Strong academics and a qualifying law degree.
• Experience with cross-border funds matters is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise fund sponsors, asset managers, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds on funds matters.
• Assist in formation, structuring and governance of private investment funds.
• Negotiate investor agreements, side letters and GP/LP arrangements.
• Work on DIFC/ADGM fund structures and cross-border fundraising.

Job description

A leading international law firm is continuing to invest in the growth of its Middle East Investment Funds practice and is looking to hire an ambitious Funds Associate into its Dubai office.

The role will involve advising fund sponsors, asset managers, institutional investors, family offices and sovereign wealth funds on a broad range of regional and cross-border funds matters, including:

• Formation and structuring of private investment funds
• Private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, private credit and real estate funds
• DIFC and ADGM fund structures
• Investor negotiations, subscription documentation and side letters
• GP/LP arrangements, carried interest and management incentive structures
• Co-investments and secondary transactions
• Investment management and advisory platforms
• Cross-border fundraising and related regulatory matters

The team works across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and wider GCC, with the successful candidate gaining significant responsibility and direct client exposure, alongside access to the firm’s wider international corporate, private equity, real estate and financial services practices.

• Ideally 2–5 PQE, although this is a guideline
• Funds experience gained with a leading UK, US, international law firm
• England & Wales / Common law qualification and strong academics
• DIFC / ADGM experience advantageous, but not essential
