Tanqeeb in United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced accountant to oversee trading and import/export finances, ensuring accurate costing and clean margins.

You will manage inventory, AR/AP, VAT compliance, and strict digital filing, coordinating with warehousing and procurement to keep books precise and auditable.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a similar role, strong MS Excel skills, and a meticulous, process-driven approach.

Formación

• 3–5 years of hands-on accounting in trading, wholesale, or import/export business.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation (FIFO/Weighted Average) and landed cost.
• Proficient with inventory-integrated accounting software and MS Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Track import shipments, duties, and calculate landed costs to protect margins.
• Record high-volume daily sales from retail and wholesale, including returns.
• Maintain AR/AP ledgers, aging invoices, and credit limits.
• Process inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and monthly reconciliations.
• Post JVs, payment vouchers, and receipts with proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, POS settlements, and petty cash daily.
• Manage depreciation, WPS payroll, and supplier/visa/utility payments.
• Prepare VAT, reconcile import VAT, and ensure timely tax payments.
• Maintain strict digital filing for all invoices, bills, vouchers, and documents.

• Import & Costing Accounting:Track import shipments, handle customs/freight duties, and calculate accurateLanded Coststo ensure correct product margins.

• Multi-Channel Sales & Returns:Manage and record high-volume daily transactions from bothRetail cash/card salesandWholesale credit accounts, including complex sales returns and credit notes.

• Ledger Maintenance (AR/AP):Rigorously maintain and clean creditor (suppliers/vendors) and debtor (wholesale clients) ledgers. Follow up on aging invoices and manage credit limits.

• Inventory Control & Stock Adjustments:Process inventory adjustments, manage stock transfers between warehouses/retail outlets, and lead monthly physical stock reconciliations to eliminate discrepancies.

• Voucher & Entry Control:Prepare and post Journal Vouchers (JVs), payment vouchers, and receipt entries with bulletproof supporting documentation.

• Cash & Liquidity Tracking:Manage, secure, and reconcile bank accounts, point-of-sale (POS) merchant settlements, and petty cash daily.

• Asset & Compliance Management:Handle monthly depreciation schedules, manage timely salary disbursements (WPS/Payroll), and oversee operational payments (utility bills, visa expenses, trade license, and insurance renewals).

• Tax Compliance:Complete accurateVAT preparation, reconciliation of import VAT (via customs declarations), and timely tax payments.

• Standardized Digital Filing (Strict Requirement):Maintain a strict, transparent, and logical digital filing system (e.g., cloud drive) for all invoices, customs bills, packing lists, and vouchers.Every file must be searchable and accessible instantly, whether you are in the office or not.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an accountantspecifically within a Trading, Wholesale, or Import/Export business.

• Inventory Expertise:Deep understanding of inventory valuation methods (FIFO/Weighted Average) and landed cost calculations.

• Software Proficiency:Strong expertise in inventory-integrated accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, QuickBooks Enterprise, Zoho Books, or Xero) and advanced MS Excel.

• Traits:Exceptionally organized, methodical, and possesses an uncompromising eye for detail.
