Job summary

Manpower Professional is seeking a skilled Accountant with a strong foundation in statutory accounting, IFRS, and ERP systems. The role involves managing AP/AR, fixed assets, payroll, and intercompany invoicing in a multinational context.

You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to budget, forecasts, and audits while ensuring accuracy across multi-currency operations and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 3 years of statutory accounting experience in a large company.
• Local and IFRS accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (record invoices, process non-inventory purchases, match vouchers).
• Submit supplier payments for approval and handle banking matters.
• Manage accounts receivable, bookings and invoicing for services to parent company.
• Record Fixed Assets and depreciation; maintain FA register.
• Prepare liquidity reports and submit weekly to head office.

Job description

You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and responsible for the following:

• Management of accounts payable which includes recording of invoices from suppliers ( process non inventory purchases and matching vouchers, checking inventory & stock take adjustments)
• Submitting supplier payments to GM for approval and creating payment instructions using company's online banking and responsible for handling banking related matters
• Responsible for the management of accounts receivable which includes checking sales integration in the system, booking debit notes, challenging import and sales support Specialist on accounts receivable
• Responsible for booking Fixed Assets and charging depreciation in accordance with company’s policy and keeping the records in FA register
• Preparing liquidity report and submitting the report on weekly basis to head office.
• Responsible for monthly multi-currency bank reconciliation and calculation of realised FX loss and gain and keeping a record of FX differences resulting from payments and receipts
• Assisting Sales Finance Analyst and Finance Manager with the preparation of budget and forecast
• Responsible for monthly payroll which includes posting payroll file, payroll entries and making payments to the employees.
• Responsible for reporting intercompany sales and purchase and creating invoices for services provided to the parent company.
• Analysing monthly P&L and creating month end journals making sure that they are in line with the monthly trend.
• Responsible for the management of various balance sheet accounts and their reconciliation making sure that schedules are prepared for balance sheet accounts and they tie with the GL balance.
• Assist external and internal audits during yearly/interim audit and other external parties

To be successful you must have/be:

• Bachelor Degree as a minimum qualification
• 3 years in statutory accounting experience in a similar role in a large company
• Local and IFRS accounting knowledge
• FOREX
• JDEdwards (Peoplesoft Enterprise One) finance, inventory, fixed assets modules know how is a plus
• Sense of priorities, proactivity and autonomy
