Job summary

XAD Technologies in Dubai is seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to lead end-to-end FTTH installations at customer premises. You will install, terminate and test fiber, configure ONTs and Wi‑Fi, and ensure secure, high-performance networks.

You must have hands-on fiber tooling experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service. Valid driving license and ability to work independently on site across Dubai are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing, terminating and splicing fiber optic cables.
• Proficiency using fiber optic tools including fusion splicers and optical power meters.
• Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi router configurations and home networking principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, route and terminate fiber from the network point to the customer premises (drop cable).
• Install and configure ONT and Wi-Fi routers for proper functionality and secure networks.
• Activate internet services and configure router settings (SSID, password, DHCP).
• Perform fusion splicing and light-level testing to verify signal strength and quality.
• Check signal strength and make adjustments to ensure optimal service quality.
• Diagnose and resolve fiber optic-related issues at customer sites and document outcomes.
