Job summary

Fatherson International Fze in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks an HSE Engineer to implement and monitor health, safety and environmental procedures at construction and engineering sites.

You will ensure compliance with UAE regulations, conduct site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and maintain HSE records and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH or equivalent certifications as required by the project.
• Experience in construction, MEP, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction site safety procedures.
• Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and inspection skills.
• UAE project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems at project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Prepare Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, local authority requirements, and client safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure safe working practices.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, incident records, and safety statistics.
