Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one to two years of butcher/fresh food experience.
• Knowledge of meat cutting, trimming, deboning, mincing, marination, weighing and packaging.
• Experience in supermarket/hypermarket or food production environments.
• Basic English reading/writing/interpretation skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, trim, debone, mince, slice and portion meat per customer requests.
• Marinate meat using approved recipes and handling methods.
• Confirm customer requirements before cutting or processing.
• Weigh, code, price and label products accurately.
• Wrap, package and display meat to meet hygiene standards.
• Maintain displays, rotate stock and monitor freshness and expiry dates.
• Operate meat slicers, mincers, saws, knives and scales safely.
• Assist customers with recommendations and upsell where appropriate.
• Follow food safety procedures and report equipment faults.
