Job summary

edari is seeking an FP&A Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and financial reporting for a large semi-government entity in Dubai. The role requires strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of financial planning and the ability to track project expenditure and variances.

The position will commence on a 12-month contract and report to the Program Manager in the Digital Transformation department.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years FP&A, management accounting, audit, or financial analysis.
• CFA qualification (preferred).
• Strong understanding of OPEX, CAPEX, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and financial modelling.
• Experience preparing financial reports, dashboards and budget tracking tools.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with multiple analysis requests and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyse operating OPEX and CAPEX against budgets and forecasts.
• Track project costs and actual expenditure against budgets.
• Prepare budget versus actual reports and explain variances.
• Support monthly/quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting.
• Develop Excel-based trackers and financial dashboards for stakeholders.
• Monitor commitments, accruals and purchase orders against budgets.
• Identify overspending risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement and project teams to analyse data.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and business case support.
