Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a founding Site Reliability Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with initial London hiring. You will design, build, and operate the simulation infrastructure that enables massive-scale autonomous-system experiments.

You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, simulation software and distributed systems, ensuring reliability and fast iteration. This hands-on role demands diagnosing failures, improving release validation, and maintaining a robust toolchain while collaborating

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and test development.
• Strong knowledge of C++ for reading, debugging, building, and tracing issues.
• Solid networking fundamentals and ability to diagnose distributed systems.
• Experience coordinating work across engineering teams and tracking issues.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production or near-production systems under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; can write runbooks clearly.
• Eligibility to pass security and background checks for sensitive systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the simulation software stack across the Center's tools and environments.
• Own compute, networking, storage, and environment provisioning and patching.
• Build and maintain regression and smoke tests after releases or config changes.
• Diagnose root causes and implement guardrails to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to mitigate reliability risks before releases.
• Monitor system health, triage issues, and escalate with context.
• Document learnings, runbooks, and release validation results for knowledge sharing.
