Founding Product Lead — AI Fintech for SMEs (GCC)

Job summary

Client of Discovered MENA is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to own AI‑native fintech features for SMEs in the UAE. You’ll turn strategy into a quarterly plan and clear requirements, ensuring every release delivers on promises.

You’ll report to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, work with the CEO, Engineering and Client Success, and guide backlog, user stories and PRDs two sprints ahead. Knowledge of accounting, tax workflows and the UAE market is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management in fintech/SaaS or B2B for SMEs.
• Hands-on experience building AI or LLM-based products.
• Strong customer discovery skills; comfortable talking directly to business owners.
• Clear, structured writing (PRDs, user stories, roadmaps).
• Experience working closely with engineering in agile sprints.
• Plus: Knowledge of accounting, tax, or finance workflows, and the UAE/GCC market.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy with the CEO and CPTO and break it into a quarterly plan.
• Own the backlog timing business impact and tech effort for each feature.
• Write user stories and PRDs keeping them ready two sprints ahead.
• Gather and prioritize ideas from leadership business teams and clients.
• Run sprint planning with Tech and perform business testing UAT before release.
• Benchmark international peers and competitors to keep us ahead.
• Review features after launch to confirm adoption and results.
