United Arab Emirates University seeks a full-time Instructor in the Department of Food Science to teach and coordinate laboratory sections across undergraduate Food Science courses. The role includes preparing materials, demonstrating techniques, supervising practicals, assessing performance, and supporting department research activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Food Science (PhD preferred) and can communicate in English, with a strong emphasis on safety and learning

Formación

• Master’s degree in Food Science or closely related discipline.
• Ability to teach and supervise undergraduate laboratory sessions.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality assurance, and SOPs.

Responsabilidades

• Teach laboratory sections for courses such as food chemistry, food analysis, and food microbiology.
• Prepare lab materials, SOPs, reagents, and assessment activities.
• Supervise practical sessions and ensure lab safety compliance.
• Assess reports, exams and student performance per course requirements.
• Coordinate courses and participate in accreditation activities.
• Support research projects and assist with lab data collection and analysis.
