Qualifications

• Master's degree minimum.
• Desirable membership in a professional association.
• Desirable certificates or diplomas in workshop practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and assessments to Diploma level courses in addition to lab duties.
• Develop and utilize educational technology resources for effective instruction.
• Assist in lab development and maintenance of teaching equipment.
• Support faculty and students in using machines, tools and equipment.
• Support resourcing and implementation of student projects.
• Receive, install and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and logs for equipment.
• Provide teaching assistance during workshop and laboratory sessions.
• Serve as a student advisor as assigned.
• Perform teaching duties as required.
• Demonstrate use of machines, tools and equipment in the lab.
• Maintain consumables stores and inventory levels.
• Observe safety and housekeeping procedures in the lab.
• Contribute to development of HCT by following policies and participating in activities.
• Travel to other HCT colleges for meetings and conferences as required.
• Develop awareness and respect for customs and cultures of HCT staff and students.
• Assist staff in purchasing procedures for equipment and parts.
• Coordinate with other Engineering Programs.
• Follow financial processes with the finance department for purchases.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Team Leader.
