Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a First Line Manager to lead a medical reps and product specialist team, implementing sales, marketing and demand generation programs in line with the approved budget. You will drive market penetration, optimize CRM data usage and coordinate closely with NSM & KAMs to meet targets.

The role requires a track record of managing pharma sales teams, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven track record in handling a team of med reps, achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, market dynamics, and healthcare industry trends is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Med reps / Product specialist team to implement business unit and principal sales & marketing, demand generation plans in alignment with the approved budget.
  • Participate in developing sales targets for assigned products and monitor their achievement in line with the approved marketing budget.
  • Communicate market feedback and pharmacovigilance reports to concerned managers and principals.
  • Generate and present performance reports on marketing activities, including ROI analysis for each event to Business Unit Managers (BUM).
  • Coach and mentor the DC team, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to optimize team performance.
  • Manage and monitor all costs related to advertising and promotional activities, ensuring adherence to the budget.
  • Negotiate, plan, and oversee the execution of sales, marketing and promotional plans, and coordinate field activities with partners in coordination with NSM & KAMs.
  • Analyze data related to healthcare professionals (HCPs) for field visits, route plans, call reports, and use of CRM tools to track activities.
  • Conduct market coverage analysis vs. customer universe master to assess market penetration.
  • Ensure timely collection of market receivables and review customer credit limits and terms for their respective accounts, if any.
  • Establish and sustain effective relationships with key HCPs and principal representatives.
  • Translate sales objectives for the team and work to exceed customer expectations by driving satisfaction.
  • Continuously suggest innovative solutions for customer relations and business growth.
  • Build productive, professional, long-term relationships with key personnel in key accounts.
  • Regularly assess, clarify, and validate HCP needs and work with the team to address concerns and deliver timely solutions.
  • Set clear objectives for the team to optimize market penetration, protect existing accounts, maximize market share, secure new customers, and ensure sustainable growth in prescription rates.

Job description

The First Line Manager is responsible for leading, guiding, and mentoring the sales team & group of medical reps to implement business unit and principal sales , marketing & demand generation strategies effectively.
