Job summary

Galadari Brothers in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support decision-making by collecting and interpreting financial data, and preparing reports for budgeting and performance monitoring.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience, professional qualifications (CA/ACCA/ACA/CFA or equivalent), and strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office. You will collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely closings and accurate analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow monitoring, fund position tracking, FX exposure management, and funding arrangements.
  • Prepare supporting financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support VAT/compliance reporting.

Job description

Job purpose:

To support financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to ensure accurate planning, control, and performance monitoring across the business.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Consolidate MIS, budgeting, and auditing requirements across all GAL entities.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow monitoring, fund position tracking, FX exposure management, and funding arrangements.
  • Oversee financial operations, including finance monitoring, EDP FA system closures, and review of capex and fleet disposal proposals.
  • Prepare supporting financial data for budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure timely monthly closing of books in line with predefined deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Group IT for system-related support and issue resolution as required.
  • Collaborate effectively within the Finance team to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Review financial documents such as PRs, LPOs, and payment requests prior to approval workflow.
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting data required for VAT return filing.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
  • Analyze accounting treatments and recommend appropriate financial actions.
  • Coordinate insurance coverage for company assets by preparing and submitting required documentation.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and facilitate provision of audit-related information.
  • Support the Financial Controller in preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Assist in VAT compliance by ensuring accurate and timely submission of required data.
  • Ensure adherence to Group financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial data and analytical support to corporate and cross-functional departments.
  • Investigate discrepancies and report findings to management with recommendations.
  • Collaborate across departments and maintain effective communication with business stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Respond to internal inquiries within 24 hours to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Track key business KPIs and prepare periodic financial performance reports.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in monthly financial closing processes and related reconciliations.
  • Develop understanding of key business drivers to enhance financial analysis quality.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to team members as required.
  • Perform any additional duties or special projects assigned by management.
Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
  • Qualified CA / ACCA / ACA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 7–10 years of experience in financial analysis, receivables accounting, or credit control.
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills with specialization in financial analytics.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance control and business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
