Finance Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis

Finance Analyst’s main goal is to create business value through transforming data into insights that can help business unit to make better business decisions and can deliver better sales & margin opportunity, lower OPEX or optimizing Working Capital. Reporting to the FP&A Manager the Finance analyst is responsible to drive and coordinate reporting and Budgeting processes in line with Group deadlines. He/She can identify trends through use of data analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques and technologies and will coordinate with Finance BP to make sure these insights can be translated into actionable deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Forecast and Budget Process for business units and responsible for review of Budgets.
• Work closely with the accounting team and Finance BP in the BU to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Group guidelines
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Analyze financial data and create financial models to improve decision making by providing data-driven insights on a periodic basis.
• Work to support Finance BP in the BU unit to analyze past results, perform profitability and OPEX variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Work with cross functional teams to identify requirements and opportunities by building relationships across departments (incl. Finance Business Partners).
• Identify and drive reporting and Budgeting process improvements, oversee further development and implementation of automated reporting/ business intelligence tools
• Develop fully automated financial reports to eliminate the need for manual reporting.
• Work on assigned analytical projects in Group Finance, monitor, improve and sustain all implemented projects of Group Finance.
• Implement new data analysis methodologies and tools.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

• Min of 4-6 years of relevant finance experience in a well-developed corporate finance environment ideally a multinational company with advanced reporting and data analytics processes
• Graduate from top university or business school and ideally studying for an internationally recognized professional qualification (ICAEW, CIMA, CPA, CFA, CA...)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel a clear must; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful plus (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
• B2B Distribution, FMCG, Contracting and Retail finance experience a plus
• Dynamic, driven and energetic, eager to drive business decision making
