Job summary

Unison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, and business decision-making in the UAE. The role emphasizes P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, IFRS standards, budgeting/forecasting, and strong Excel proficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring 4–8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis within banking or financial services. Banking sector exposure is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, or management accounting.
• Strong hands-on experience in P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform detailed P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, identifying variances and trends.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and insights for senior stakeholders.
• Investigate variances and provide explanations and recommendations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Review data and perform reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Risk, Operations and Business teams to validate information.
• Assist with financial modelling and scenario analysis to support decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.

• Mandatory Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, or management accounting.
• Strong hands‑on experience in P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred Experience
• Prior experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated financial institutions.
• Exposure to banking products, financial operations, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, or BI platforms.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CFA is an advantage.
