Job summary

Zurich Insurance in Dubai is seeking a part-time Finance Operations Specialist to join the Finance Operations team, working 20 hours per week. Reporting to the Finance Controller, the role covers journal entries, AR/AP, GL reconciliations, data extraction for analysis, and ICFR controls.

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate in Finance/Insurance, has internships, UAE residency with Emirates ID, and strong MS Excel skills; a proactive, collaborative, organized mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing university studies, preferably in Finance and/or Insurance related fields.
• Ideally completed internships during university studies.
• Already residing in the UAE with valid UAE residency and Emirates ID.
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week.
• Advanced user in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
• Proactive and willing to learn.
• Able to collaborate well with others.
• Organised and solution oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and posts journal entries per local and Group requirements.
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
• Administrative tasks such as customer and vendor services.
• General ledger reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepares and extracts data for financial analysis.
• Inputs information accurately into software and databases.
• Performs ICFR controls in line with internal guidelines.
• Prepares and executes tasks for quarterly and annual filings.
• Recommends procedural improvements to enhance efficiency.

Commercial Insurance Middle East is looking for a part time Finance Operations Specialist to join our Finance Operations team who will be able to work 20 hrs per week. Reporting to the Finance Controller, this individual is expected to performs basic finance operations tasks including collection, cash application, accounts payable, general administration and/or general ledger reconciliation ensuring actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

• Prepares and posts journal entries as per local and Group requirements.
• Conducts accounts receivable and account payable activities.
• Conducts administrative tasks such as customer and vendor services.
• Performs General ledger reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepares and extracts data for financial analysis.
• Accurately organizes and inputs information into software and databases.
• Performs ICFR controls in compliance with internal control guidelines.
• Prepares and executes assigned tasks for quarterly and annual filings purposes.
• Recommends procedural process changes to enhance operating efficiency.

Job Qualifications

• Undergoing University Studies or in the final year of completing your degree (preferably Finance and/or Insurance related)
• Ideally completed several Internships throughout University studies
• Already residing in the UAE and holding a valid UAE residency and Emirates ID
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week
• Must be an advance user in Microsoft Office (i.e., MS Excel)
• Proactive and willing to learn
