Company Description

We are an ADGM-based financial services firm regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) as a Category 3C Authorised Person.

Operating within a regulated financial services environment requires strong financial governance, accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and strict adherence to regulatory and tax requirements and deadlines.

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Finance Officer with relevant ADGM/FSRA experience who can take ownership of the company’s accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and finance-related regulatory obligations.

Role Description

The Finance Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial management of the company, with particular responsibility for ensuring that all financial, prudential, tax, and finance-related regulatory reporting obligations are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.

A key responsibility of this position is supporting the company in maintaining ongoing compliance with the financial and reporting requirements applicable to an FSRA-regulated Category 3C firm, as well as applicable ADGM and UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements.

The Finance Officer is expected to be a task owner who proactively monitors requirements and deadlines rather than waiting for instructions. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, identifying upcoming obligations, following matters through to completion, and escalating issues when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and ensure proper bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Support the preparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Take ownership of finance-related FSRA regulatory and prudential reporting applicable to a Category 3C Authorised Person, ensuring that required calculations, reports, supporting documentation, and submissions are prepared accurately and within regulatory deadlines.
• Maintain familiarity with the FSRA Prudential - Investment, Insurance Intermediation and Banking (PRU) framework and the financial and prudential requirements applicable to the firm’s Category 3C permission.
• Monitor applicable regulatory capital and other relevant prudential requirements and promptly escalat... any actual or potential issues to management and the appropriate control functions.
• Maintain a comprehensive financial, regulatory, and tax reporting calendar and proactively monitor upcoming filing, reporting, audit, and payment deadlines.
• Coordinate with the Compliance function and senior management to ensure that finance-related information required for FSRA and ADGM regulatory reporting is accurate, complete, and available on time.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements, including VAT and Corporate Tax obligations, returns, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and payments.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Hands-on ADGM/FSRA experience is required; Category 3C experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of FSRA regulatory/prudential reporting and FTA requirements, filings, reporting and compliance obligations.
• Strong financial reporting, accounting, reconciliation, and closing skills.
• QuickBooks and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Proactive task owner, highly organized and deadline-driven.
• Strong team player, able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent professional English.
