Callan Hawkins is seeking an experienced Manager - Fixed Assets to oversee the fixed asset accounting function across operations and projects. You will ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, valuations, reconciliations and reporting in IFRS while strengthening financial controls over the organization’s asset base.

The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, a CPA qualification, and hands-on SAP fixed asset experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee fixed asset accounting lifecycle, including acquisitions, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers and disposals per IFRS and policies.
• Review project expenditures and capital costs for proper classification and capitalization.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset register with GL, ensuring accurate values and depreciation methods.
• Lead periodic physical verification of assets across facilities and sites; investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules, roll-forwards, depreciation reports and disclosures for monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
• Coordinate fixed asset audits and provide reconciliations and documentation to auditors.

On behalf of our client, a leading environmental management and sustainability group, we are seeking an experienced Manager - Fixed Assets to oversee fixed asset accounting and financial control across business operations and projects. The role will ensure accurate asset capitalization, depreciation, valuation, reconciliations, and reporting in compliance with IFRS, while strengthening financial controls over the organization's asset base.

Job Responsibilities Will Include:

• Oversee the complete fixed asset accounting lifecycle, including acquisitions, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers, and disposals in line with company policies and IFRS.
• Review project expenditure and capital costs, ensuring appropriate classification and timely capitalization of eligible costs from construction-in-progress to fixed assets.
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger, ensuring accurate asset values, useful lives, depreciation methods, locations, and supporting documentation.
• Lead periodic physical verification of fixed assets across environmental facilities, operational sites, projects, and offices; investigate discrepancies and ensure asset records are updated accordingly.
• Prepare fixed asset schedules, roll-forwards, depreciation reports, and related disclosures to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Coordinate fixed asset audits and compliance reviews, providing reconciliations and supporting documentation to internal and external auditors and resolving audit findings.
• Utilize SAP fixed asset accounting functionality to manage asset master data and transactions, strengthen financial controls, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of fixed asset reporting.
• Leverage ERP tracking modules to improve asset tracking, maintain accurate asset documentation, and support reliable financial reporting across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA qualification mandatory.
• Must have 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in fixed asset accounting and financial control, preferably within the environmental, waste management, sustainability, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Hands-on SAP experience in fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS requirements relevant to fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and derecognition.
• Proven experience in fixed asset register management, capital expenditure accounting, physical asset verification, audit coordination, and financial reporting.
