Job summary

Remote DXB is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to maintain the asset register, record acquisitions and disposals, and manage depreciation in our ERP systems. The role requires strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, attention to detail, and proficient data analysis in Excel.

You will ensure accurate capitalization, perform asset verifications, and support audits while collaborating with procurement, finance, and operations to optimize asset workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables for data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register per internal policies and standards.
• Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP system accurately.
• Perform monthly depreciation runs, reconciliations, and ensure proper capitalization of assets.
• Monitor projects for timely capitalization (CWIP clearance).
• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare fixed asset schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements related to fixed assets.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and asset accounting policies.
• Support process improvements to improve accuracy and controls.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations on asset workflows and documentation.

• Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments accurately in the ERP system


• Perform monthly depreciation runs, reconciliations, and ensure proper capitalization of assets


• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure timely capitalization of completed assets (CWIP clearance)


• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies


• Prepare fixed asset-related schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting


• Assist in internal and external audit requirements related to fixed assets


• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies for asset accounting processes


• Support process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls


• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams for asset-related workflows and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles and GAAP/IFRS compliance


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis
