Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Finance Manager (Financial Controller) at the UAE head office to partner with Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams. You will oversee the operational P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and deliver insights to drive profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a financial controller in retail.
• Experience in FMCG retail is a must.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and P&L management.

Responsibilities

• Partnered with Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to provide financial insights.
• Owned and managed the operational P&L across stores, regions, and channels.
• Led budgeting, rolling forecasts, and flash reporting processes using driver-based assumptions.
• Delivered financial performance reports, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards.
• Analyzed gross margin, sales mix, and markdown performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
• Monitored and controlled operating costs, including labor, logistics, utilities, maintenance, and other controllable expenses.
• Identified, quantified, and tracked cost-saving and profit improvement opportunities while supporting operational owners.
• Built strong cross-functional relationships with operational leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Finance Manager (Financial Controller) serves as a strategic finance business partner to Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams, driving profitability and operational efficiency. The role is responsible for managing the operational P&L, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, analyzing margins and costs, and delivering financial insights that support data-driven decisions and performance improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a financial contoller in retail
• Experience in FMCG retail is a must
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and P&L management
