Job summary

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for large-scale transformation programs. You will drive analytics, establish KPIs/KRIs, and guide decision-making with stakeholders across the organization.

The role requires strong English communication, robust IFRS knowledge, and the ability to manage resources and risk in a dynamic environment. A master’s or professional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial management with a managerial role, preferably in large-scale transformation programs or similar initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards
• Excellent English written and verbal communication, especially with non-financial stakeholders
• Effective negotiation skills for financial aspects of vendor contracts
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced transformation environment

Job Purpose

The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial aspects of the programme, particularly in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring activities to provide strategic financial insights that supports decision-making.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Develop and implement financial plans aligned with the goals and objectives of the programme.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and forecasts to provide insights into the programme's financial performance and support programme decision-making.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and KRIs to assess the financial health and performance of the programme.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and present regular financial reports and management packs to the Programme Director and relevant stakeholders, ensuring the reports comply with relevant accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits, as required.

Financial Resource Allocation and Management

• Work closely with Programme Director & Finance Director and other key programme stakeholders to allocate financial resources efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor and control programme expenditures to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the programme.

Financial Training and Awareness

• Provide financial training and awareness sessions to program team members as needed.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor and manage programme cash flows.
• Ensure timely payments and recording. Reconciliations
• Oversee and perform regular reconciliations of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Implement controls to address and resolve any discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
• Reconcile statements with external partners.

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

Vendor and Contract Management

• Collaborate with the Contract / Vendor Manager to manage financial aspects of vendor contracts.
• Ensure 3rd party contractual obligations and effort aligns with the approved budget

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting and / or Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• A master's degree and / or relevant accounting / finance certifications is a plus.

Years of Experience

• Proven experience in financial management, FP&A, with a minimum 5+ in a managerial role, preferably in the context of large-scale transformation programs, project management, or similar corporate initiatives. Knowledge and Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely, particularly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Effective negotiation skills for financial aspects of vendor contracts.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment inherent to transformation programs.
