Finance Director

Verified Electronics is seeking an experienced and commercially mindedFinance Directorto lead and oversee the company's finance function in Dubai.

This is a senior leadership position suited to a qualified finance professional with a strong technical accounting background, extensive knowledge ofIFRS, and a proven track record working within the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, strengthening financial controls and reporting, managing financial planning and analysis, and supporting senior management in making informed commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and oversee the company's overall finance function.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
• Provide senior management with financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance, profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.

Financial Reporting & IFRS

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure financial reporting complies withIFRSand applicable UAE requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Work closely with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating costs, profitability, and cash flow.
• Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis for new business opportunities and strategic decisions.

Cash Flow, Working Capital & Treasury

• Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and other working capital requirements.
• Develop strategies to improve cash conversion and liquidity.
• Oversee banking relationships and treasury activities.
• Ensure appropriate controls over payments and financial transactions.

Tax, Compliance & Audit

• Oversee compliance with applicableUAE VAT and Corporate Taxrequirements.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and other professional advisers where required.
• Ensure timely submission of financial and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Business & Commercial Support

• Act as a strategic finance partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
• Evaluate the financial implications of commercial decisions, investments, contracts, and business opportunities.
• Support pricing, profitability, cost management, and commercial strategy.
• Provide clear financial information to support management decision-making.
• Work closely with operations and other departments to improve financial performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead, develop, and oversee the finance team.
• Establish clear responsibilities, processes, and performance standards.
• Review and improve finance processes and systems.
• Ensure the finance team operates efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with extensiveIFRSexperience.
• Minimum3 years of professional experience in Dubai/UAE.
• Significant overall experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, audit, or corporate finance.
• Proven experience in a senior finance management or leadership position.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial controls.
• Strong knowledge ofUAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience working with international businesses and/or trading companies is highly desirable.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate financial information into practical business decisions.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Big 4 experience is highly desirable but not essential.Candidates with relevant experience from other reputable accounting, audit, advisory, or corporate finance environments will also be considered.
