Job summary

edari is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to own finance and accounting end-to-end in a fast-growing environment based in Dubai. The role reports to the GM & CEO and requires strong control mindset to support regulatory reporting, audits and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in finance/accounting, exposure to investment/financial markets, and experience with Xero. Dubai-based hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Ideally experience within investment/trading/financial markets environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge: accruals, journals, reconciliations, revenue/cost accounting.
• Experience with investment/trading statements and financial information.
• Strong audit and financial reporting experience.
• Experience managing vendors and accounts payable.
• Xero experience is highly desirable.
• Exposure to UK and/or international accounting/regulatory environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Hands-on, independent and commercially minded.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance and accounting function end-to-end.
• Manage accruals, journals, reconciliations, payables and financial controls.
• Analyse financial statements from investment/trading teams.
• Manage revenue, costs, expenses and equity-related transactions.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports, analysis and cash-flow information.
• Own accounts payable and vendor management.
• Assist with treasury: banking relationships and cash monitoring.
• Coordinate external audits, statutory reporting and documentation.
• Support regulatory finance reporting and capital monitoring.
• Develop and maintain finance procedures, controls and governance frameworks.
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting across jurisdictions.
• Help develop finance dashboards and reporting (Power BI or similar).
• Improve processes, controls and reporting as business scales.
