Job summary

Abbott in Dubai is seeking a Finance Controller – Emerging Markets to partner with Emerging Markets leadership, overseeing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls across a diverse portfolio.

You will drive profitability through robust analysis, strategic decision support, and cross-functional collaboration with commercial, supply chain and finance teams, while ensuring adherence to corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance or controlling experience.
• Experience supporting multinational and geographically diverse markets.
• Healthcare/medical device industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and commercial teams.
• Support strategic decisions related to pricing, distributor management, investments, and market expansion.
• Lead Latest Best Estimate (LBE), Organic Execution Model (OEM) and Scenario Analysis Modeling processes.
• Provide management with timely financial reporting and business insights.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, accounts receivable, and inventory performance.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements.
• Support Integrated Business Planning and alignment of commercial, supply chain, and financial plans.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships
• Develop finance talent.
