Buro Happold in Dubai is seeking a Junior Accountant – FP&A and Finance to join our UAE finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will assist with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, gaining exposure across FP&A, accounting operations, and financial controls.

This UAE Nationals (Emirati) role targets a fresh graduate or up to two years in finance, offering hybrid work, development opportunities, and a chance to contribute to strategic financial planning within our iconic

Competenze

• UAE National (Emirati) with Family Book.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365 is an advantage.

• Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Buro Happold is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant – FP&A and Finance to join our team in the UAE.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the Finance team in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, and financial compliance activities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to various finance functions while developing analytical and commercial finance skills.

This position is open to ONLY UAE Nationals (Emiratis)

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Support monthly management reporting and variance analysis
• Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast and highlight key trends
• Prepare financial models and reports to support business decision-making
• Maintain and update financial dashboards and KPIs

Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
• Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies
• Maintain general ledger records and supporting documentation

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Assist in processing supplier invoices and employee expense claims
• Monitor customer receipts and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements

Compliance and Controls

• Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls
• Support VAT return preparation and related documentation
• Assist during internal and external audits
• Maintain organised financial records and audit files

Business Support

• Collaborate with operational departments to obtain financial information
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
• Assist in identifying process improvements and efficiencies within finance operations

Your Skills And Experience

• UAE National (Emirati) with Family Book
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in finance or accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Knowledge of budgeting and FP&A concepts is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365 is an advantage
