Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) in Dubai seeks an experienced IT Support professional to install and configure desktops, MS Office, and business software, ensuring end-user systems are ready for operations.

You will maintain networks, servers, PABX, and assist with Cisco switches/routers; troubleshoot connectivity and guide staff on proper system use. A 5+ year background in Microsoft/Cisco environments and a Bachelor's degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology or Computer Science.
• Certification from Microsoft or Cisco (must have).
• Exposure to PLCs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install and configure desktop OS, MS Office and related software for business use.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, networks, file/print servers and peripherals.
• Configure user accounts, email, internet access and network devices for staff.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, cabling and performance issues to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot Time Keeping System hardware/software/connectivity faults for accurate time records.
• Guide staff on proper use of installed systems to improve productivity.
• Identify and resolve hardware problems, enhance hardware service delivery.
• Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate timely repair of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and support PABX maintenance for reliable telephony services.
• Troubleshoot and support Cisco switches/routers/firewalls and related devices; assist with upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure desktop operating systems, MS Office applications and other software packages, ensuring end-user systems are fully operational and ready for business use.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, networks, file and print servers and related devices, including upgrades to disk drives, memory, and peripheral equipment, ensuring reliable performance of end-user infrastructure.
• Configure user accounts, email, internet access, network devices and shared resources, ensuring staff have timely and secure access to required systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, cabling and performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent service availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Time Keeping System, including software, hardware and connectivity faults, ensuring accurate and uninterrupted time recording for the business.
• Guide staff on the proper use of installed systems, maximizing efficient and effective use of business technology.
• Identify and resolve hardware problems proactively and reactively, implementing opportunities for improved hardware service delivery.

Work Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience
• Area of Experience: Maintaining network infrastructure, desktops, printers, MS Office products, Windows operating systems, Networking protocols, PABX and all other areas of Field support in a Microsoft / CISCO environment.
