Job summary

Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Sundyne pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment in field and factory settings. You will install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair systems while coordinating with customers and channel partners globally.

You will analyze equipment performance, perform RCFA activities, and train customer personnel. Extensive travel and a strong safety mindset are required, with opportunities for career growth within the field

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment or mechanical systems; seals and PLC knowledge a plus.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and troubleshoot field issues.
• Familiarity with API standards and API seal plans is advantageous.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use GD&T to verify OEM specifications.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically for extended service assignments.
• Strong interpersonal, professional communication, and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, pre-commission, commission, troubleshoot, and rebuild Sundyne equipment.
• Supervise customer craft personnel to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant work.
• Prepare field reports and complete all customer/OEM documentation on time.
• Collaborate with customers, channel partners, and internal Sundyne teams.
• Provide expertise on pumps, compressors, controls, instrumentation, and rotating equipment issues.
• Analyze equipment conditions to identify failure modes and verify OEM compliance.
• Participate in RCFA activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot field units using control-system logic and ensure proper operation.
• Create and manage service cases in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
• Conduct independent warranty evaluations on-site or on returned hardware.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold safety standards.
• Train customers and partners through quarterly training sessions.
• Mentor junior Field Service Engineers in field service practices.
