Job summary
TechnipFMC plc in Abu Dhabi seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide design and technical support across manufacturing, testing, and field installations. You will lead system integration efforts and develop new or modified products using CAD tools, applying engineering theory to solve complex problems.
The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and about 3 years of Oil & Gas experience with surface equipment, and familiarity with API and refurbishment processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years experience in Oil & Gas as an Engineer with surface equipment.
- Knowledge of API 6A, API 17D, NACE MR0175, etc.
- Design/manufacturing/refurbishment knowledge and cost awareness.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical point of contact for internal and external customers on ongoing projects.
- Disposition of Quality Notifications (QNs) and refurbishment activities.
- Create procedures and work instructions for mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair.
- Prepare and review Engineering documentation through the ECN process.
- Prepare engineering calculations for design reviews.
- Present complex design concepts for technical discussions with clients/suppliers.
- Discuss with clients to understand needs and deliver technical solutions.
- Plan and participate in System Integration Testing (SITs).
- Provide real-time technical support for manufacturing issues under pressure.
- Lead design staff on project basis to analyze design options and prepare layouts.
