Job summary

DSA is seeking a Resident Engineer with extensive FIDIC-based contract administration experience to lead contract management, risk control and dispute avoidance on complex projects in the UAE. You will act as the Engineer with authority to issue determinations and manage notices, submissions and payments.

You will coordinate with supervision teams, handle variations, EOTs, and ensure clarity of contractual obligations while protecting commercial interests and maintaining an auditable contract

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in FIDIC-based contract administration and construction supervision.
• Strong experience as Resident Engineer and/or Senior Contracts/Claims Manager on complex projects.
• Expert knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red Book essential) and contractual processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Engineer under FIDIC provisions and issue instructions, determinations and certificates.
• Manage EOT, claims, variations, and commercial oversight with disciplined cost control.
• Oversee risk management, dispute avoidance and proactive contract governance.
• Coordinate with site supervision teams and ensure contract actions reflect site issues and change management.
• Lead project close-out, DLP, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and review contractual correspondence and maintain auditable records in EDMS.
• Support negotiations and provide advisory on contract interpretation and risk mitigation.
