Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks an experienced Facade Design Lead to drive technical development of curtain walls, windows, cladding and related facade systems. You will review drawings, develop system concepts, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver project solutions.

The role requires 8–10 years of facade design and engineering expertise, strong UAE/GCC project experience, and proven leadership of a facade design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of facade design and engineering experience.
• Strong UAE/GCC facade-project experience is preferred.
• Proven experience leading a facade technical or design team.
• Sound knowledge of aluminium, glass, steel, sealants, anchors, brackets, insulation, cladding, and facade interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of curtain walls, unitized and stick systems, aluminium windows and doors, cladding, skylights, canopies, balustrades, and other facade systems.
• Review architectural, structural, and facade drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Develop system concepts, design details, interfaces, and project-specific technical solutions.
• Coordinate shop drawings, structural and thermal calculations, glass analysis, material submissions, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, authority requirements, and approved system-supplier standards.
• Identify technical risks, design conflicts, missing information, and scope gaps, and raise RFIs promptly.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, clients, architects, system suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Lead technical meetings and ensure timely closure of consultant comments and approval requirements.
• Guide facade designers, structural engineers, BIM modellers, draftsmen, and technical coordinators.
• Review and endorse technical deliverables before submission.
• Coordinate with estimation, procurement, planning, production, QA/QC, installation, and project teams.
• Ensure approved drawings, cutting lists, glass sizes, aluminium profiles, accessories, and fabrication information are accurate before production.
