Job summary

Cloud Nine Human Resources Consultancy is seeking an experienced Facade Engineer to lead technical management and coordination for doors, windows and facade systems in UAE projects.

You will review drawings, prepare submittals and method statements, and coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth fabrication and on-site installation. Strong UAE facade experience and AutoCAD/Revit proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Facade Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the doors, windows, and Facade industry in the UAE. 5+ years preferred for high-rise projects.
• Ability to read and review construction drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Technical Management: Manage technical aspects and construction coordination for doors and windows, glass curtain walls, aluminium cladding, and other building Facade works.
• Drawing Review: Review construction drawings, Facade shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed sections to ensure technical accuracy and promptly resolve on-site technical issues.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and follow up on Material Submittals, Method Statements, RFIs, and other relevant technical documents.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with clients, main contractors, design consultants, suppliers, and installation teams to facilitate drawing approvals, material procurement, fabrication, and on-site installation.
• Site Technical Support and Quality Control: Provide technical guidance on site, inspect installation quality, monitor construction progress, and coordinate corrective actions where required.
• Testing, Inspection, and Handover: Assist with Facade performance testing, site inspections and acceptance, site variation documentation, as-built and handover documentation, and final project handover.
• Technical Optimization: Support material selection, Facade detailing optimization, cost control, and design changes.
• Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with project technical specifications, approved drawings, applicable quality standards, and relevant UAE regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Facade Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the doors, windows, and Facade industry in the UAE. Candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience and high-rise Facade project experience are preferred.
• Good knowledge of stick curtain wall systems, unitized curtain wall systems, glass curtain walls, aluminium cladding, aluminium windows and doors, and associated Facade details and connections.
• Ability to independently read and review construction drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications, with a good understanding of Facade construction methods and installation procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Revit, BIM, or Facade structural calculation software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local material submittal procedures, construction inspection and acceptance processes, and Facade testing requirements is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a high sense of responsibility and the ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment.
