Job summary

Wahat Al Khebra Glass & Aluminium Installation LLC in Dubai seeks a Facade Technical Manager to lead the technical delivery of glass and aluminium facade packages from tender to handover. You will oversee design approvals, procurement, fabrication, installation and testing, serving as the main technical contact for consultants, clients, main contractors and suppliers.

The role requires 8–10 years in facade engineering with 5+ years in UAE/GCC, and at least 3 years in a technical lead or manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural/Architectural Engineering; 8–10 years in facade engineering.
• 5+ years in UAE or GCC.
• 3+ years leading a design and technical team.
• Proven delivery of unitized curtain wall and cladding on high-rise or large commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of all facade packages review tender IFC drawings specifications and BOQs and raise clarifications early.
• Supervise and approve shop drawings fabrication drawings calculations and technical submittals before issue.
• Coordinate facade interfaces with structure MEP architecture waterproofing fire stopping and BMU.
• Lead technical meetings with consultants clients and main contractors close out comments and approvals on schedule.
• Approve systems profiles glass build-ups sealants and hardware; evaluate suppliers technically; propose value engineering.
• Plan and witness mock-ups and performance tests (air, water, structural) and QA/QC at factory and site.
• Guide factory production planning and site installation methods; resolve technical defects and inspect before handover.
• Give technical input to variations, claims and programme updates; support authority approvals (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, Trakhees, DDA).
• Manage, train, and review the performance of the technical team; maintain drawing standards and document control.
