Job summary

Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) Fab Lab in Abu Dhabi seeks a full-time Fab Academy Instructor for a 7-month contract. The role monitors students, trains and follows up on the Fab Academy Diploma, and supports the local Fab Lab instructor.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years Fab Academy teaching experience, with strong CAD/electronics and remote teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, technical, IT, robotics or digital fabrication).
• Mandatory Fab Academy graduate.
• 3 years Fab Academy Instructor experience, including remote teaching.
• High CAD skills in 2D and 3D; extensive electronics knowledge.
• Experience in programming and interfacing; machine building; rapid prototyping.
• Strong management skills; hands-on use of digital fabrication machines.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the training program according to the time schedule.
• Participate in final student selection via online interviews.
• Ensure tools and materials are available and advise the lab.
• Follow-up and supervise training program progress.
• Provide consultation and submit development reports to the project director.
• Submit monthly and routine reports.
• Comply with security and safety requirements for participants.
• Provide educational materials for the program and workshops.
• Assist with daily lab tasks.
• Organize workshops and represent the lab at UAE exhibitions.
