Job summary

Time Out Market Abu Dhabi is opening a new market under Time Out Group. We are seeking a Finance professional to own cost control across F&B, implement robust analysis, and support management in buying, pricing and margin protection.

The F&B Receiving Clerk will monitor costs, wastage and settlements, run daily and monthly cost reports, and work with the finance team to improve the Market's financial performance.

Qualifications

• Business degree with experience in a finance team.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to relate to an international audience.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United Arab Emirates.
• Possession of state required work card.

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust cost control over food and beverage costs.
• Monitor wastage, pilferage and efficiency across F&B outlets.
• Prepare variance analyses for F&B and share results with stakeholders.
• Update and maintain goods receipts in the system.
• Verify discounts, voids, and settlements on POS.
• Check cost of sales and ensure alignment with budgets.
• Review menu pricing in POS and ensure accuracy.
• Produce daily and monthly cost reports and perform cost-of-sales analysis.
• Conduct monthly stock takes and manage FF&E counts.

C2i is recruiting for Time Out Market, to build the team behind one of Abu Dhabi's most anticipated openings. We're looking for passionate professionals to join us as we prepare to open Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market — a vibrant new destination for food, culture and entertainment under one roof!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We love what we do – and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients. We are opening a new Time Out Market in Abu Dhabi in conjunction with our partners, C2i, under a management agreement.

The F&B Receiving Clerk will own cost control across the Market. We are looking for an experienced finance professional who can keep a robust grip on food and beverage costs and give management the analysis they need to buy better, price better and protect margin.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Keep a robust control over food and beverage costs
• Control the F&B outlets in terms of wastage, pilferage and efficiency
• Prepare variance analysis for food and beverage and communicate findings with relevant parties
• Update and maintain goods receipts into the systems
• Check and verify voids, discounts, happy hour discounts and all settlements on the POS systems
• Check the cost of sales in all F&B outlets and ensure costs are within budget
• Check menu pricing on the POS systems and ensure the correct prices are loaded
• Continuously study weaknesses in F&B control implemented at the Market and provide suggestions for improvement
• Check the daily F&B revenues report submitted by income audit for accuracy of covers and average check
• Carry out surprise spot checks at all F&B outlets
• Prepare the daily and monthly cost reports in relation to cost of sales
• Prepare menu engineering defining profitability and popularity of menu items
• Prepare the Potential Cost Report justifying COGS
• Prepare ABC analysis of high‑value, high‑consumption items for future negotiations
• Prepare the EOQ model for ordering of items
• Update recipes, pricing and items in the stock control system
Run monthly F&B stock takes and updates
• Act as custodian of Fixed Asset and FF&E items, conducting quarterly FF&E stock counts
• Work and communicate closely with the finance team and wider Market Management team
• Complete various monthly reconciliations
• Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by Management
