We are seeking passionate hospitality professionals to welcome guests, take orders, prepare beverages and support daily café operations with care and teamwork. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow within a premier venue.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of direct work experience.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage presentation.
• Experience in high-volume operations, opening/closing duties, guest relations and sanitation and safety.

We're looking for passionate professionals to join us as we prepare to open Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market — a vibrant new destination for food, culture and entertainment under one roof!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We love what we do – and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Recommend menu items, seasonal beverages and promotions
• Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and speciality beverages according to quality standards
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders and other café equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure beverages are presented consistently and attractively
• Monitor beverage quality and maintain consistency in every order
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system and issue transaction receipts
• Maintain a clean, organised and sanitary work area at all times
• Clean coffee machines, counters, utensils and kitchen areas regularly
• Follow company hygiene and food safety standards, including HACCP procedures
• Dispose of waste properly and keep workstations well stocked
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups and other supplies
• Restock products during shifts and observe FIFO (First-In, First-Out)
• Perform daily cleaning and ensure coffee machines and equipment are in good condition
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and according to manufacturer guidelines, reporting malfunctions or maintenance issues immediately
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth café operations
• Follow all health, safety and food safety regulations
• Wear the required uniform and maintain high personal hygiene standards
• Report hazards, accidents or unsafe conditions promptly
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients and current promotions
• Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure nightly, weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
• Record and report any equipment failure or safety hazards to a manager immediately
• Create a positive and memorable guest experience
• Perform other duties assigned by the Café Supervisor and managers to support daily operations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum of six months to one year of direct work experience
• Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage presentation
• Experience in high-volume operations, opening and closing duties, guest relations, and sanitation and safety
• Ability to create and maintain a sense of urgency
• Ability to perform basic mathematical equations
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, clients and the public
• Ability to maintain composure, personal integrity and a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude always and listen empathetically
• Ability to work as a team, stay organised, handle various projects at one time, follow up and make accurate decisions
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High School Diploma preferred

THE ENVIRONMENT

Restaurant environment with varying levels of noise and crowds depending on guest volume. The role is physically active — extended periods standing, moving at pace, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. A professional, neat and well-groomed appearance is required at all times.
