Job summary

Southern Sun Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Controller to join the finance team. The role supports cost management, financial reporting and collaboration with operations to drive efficiency and profitability.

Key duties include monitoring cost of sales, ensuring accurate cost records, and producing monthly reports. Strong analytical skills and experience in hospitality cost control are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B cost control, financial reporting or accounting in hospitality.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of budgeting, variance analysis and inventory valuation methods.
• Proficient in Excel and hotel/property management systems.
• Experience with Sun Systems or finance systems advantageous.
• Good communication skills to present financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate cost recording and reporting across hotel operations.
• Produce daily/periodic cost of sales reports for F&B.
• Assist month-end closing for food, beverage, inventory and operating supplies.
• Coordinate with stores and outlets to ensure stock accuracy and cost control.
• Support cost management initiatives to improve profitability.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and spot checks as required.
