Key Responsibilities
- Organize and monitor all duties related to cashier operations in assigned outlet
- Maintain proper grooming and professional appearance at all times
- Attend scheduled training sessions and comply with operational standards
- Demonstrate cooperation and respect within the team and across departments
- Maintain knowledge of daily hotel activities, promotions, and facilities
- Process guest checks and billing transactions accurately using Fidelio and POS systems
- Handle cash payments, issue correct change, and maintain house bank at full value
- Prepare shift cash drops with accurate breakdowns and deposit funds into cash drop safe
- Ensure all cash drops are logged, witnessed, and verified by Security
- Coordinate with General Cashier for daily cash reconciliation procedures
- Verify credit card validity, signatures, expiry dates, and transaction accuracy
- Ensure room charge settlements match guest identification and system records
- Inform guests of accepted payment methods and direct foreign currency exchange to Front Desk
- Validate gift certificates including expiry date, value, signature, and conditions
- Attach redeemed gift certificates to guest checks and secure them with cash drops
- Ensure no open checks remain in the system before end of outlet operations
- Report cash shortages or discrepancies according to hotel procedures
- Ensure punctuality and adherence to duty schedules
- Enforce compliance with hotel rules, financial controls, and disciplinary procedures
- Assist task force teams during new hotel openings when required
- Deliver prompt, caring, and professional service to guests and colleagues
- Anticipate guest needs and support customer satisfaction initiatives
- Maintain familiarity with operational standards manuals and company documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or vocational hospitality qualification
- 2 to 3 years experience in a four or five star hotel environment
- Strong understanding of cashiering procedures and financial controls
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced hospitality setting
