Job summary

Dope Communications is seeking an experienced Experiential & Wayfinding Designer to lead the design of intuitive, engaging spatial experiences in Dubai. The role focuses on translating user research into compelling environments, with collaboration across architects, interior and graphic designers.

Strong presentation and client-facing skills are essential. The ideal candidate has 4–7+ years in experiential design and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years in Experiential Design, Wayfinding, Environmental Graphic Design (EGD), Signage, or Placemaking.
• Strong understanding of UX, spatial communication, customer journeys and navigation systems.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D visualization tools; SketchUp, Rhino, Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead wayfinding and experiential design projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop customer journey maps, wayfinding frameworks, and spatial communication strategies.
• Create signage strategies, pictogram and icon families, environmental graphics, naming hierarchies, and information design standards.
• Collaborate with architects, interior and graphic designers, and consultants to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Prepare concept design packages, design guidelines, technical documentation, and 3D visualizations.
• Maintain wayfinding standards, brand integration, and implementation guidelines for design consistency.
• Conduct site assessments, user research, and stakeholder workshops to inform design decisions.
• Coordinate with fabricators and contractors to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
• Research emerging technologies, including AR and interactive navigation solutions, and support proposals for new business.

Who We're Looking For

• 4–7+ years of experience in Experiential Design, Wayfinding, Environmental Graphic Design (EGD), Signage, or Placemaking.
• Strong understanding of UX, spatial communication, customer journeys, and navigation systems.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and AutoCAD. Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or other 3D visualization tools is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
