Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for its Steakhouse by Alain Ducasse to lead the culinary team on-site. The role focuses on overseeing daily kitchen operations, cost control, menu development, and ensuring exceptional guest dining experiences.

The candidate will drive high standards of food quality, hygiene, and teamwork, while collaborating with the Executive Chef to launch seasonal offerings and promotions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Arabic cuisine, including cost control and pricing of ingredients and supplies.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve high performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and management.
• High attention to detail, ensuring cleanliness and full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor resource consumption and optimize equipment and ingredients usage.
• Develop weekly set menus, monthly promotions and seasonal offerings with the Executive Chef.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food to all guests.
• Address guest requests and resolve complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the kitchen's offerings and overall image.
• Maintain professional and positive communication with team members and management.
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional meetings, sharing relevant information effectively.
• Promote teamwork, strong working relationships and multicultural communication.
