Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking an Executive Clinical Director, Pharmacy to provide high level leadership, strategy, and advocacy for pharmacy services. The role reports to the CMO and drives operations, outcomes and workforce planning across inpatient and outpatient pharmacy.

The position requires relocation to Abu Dhabi with responsibility for cost-effective and innovative pharmacy service delivery, working with hospital administration, physicians and key stakeholders to advance CCAD's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college is required.
• Masters degree in Healthcare/Management/Administration is preferred.
• Pharm D degree is preferred.
• Current national license is required.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in Pharmacy with 10+ years as hospital pharmacist and 3+ years in a senior role in a tertiary acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate the annual strategic plan for CCAD Pharmacy.
• Provide strategic leadership to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Lead the application of digital and artificial intelligence to support pharmacy services.
• Oversee operational aspects of Inpatient and Outpatient pharmacy and patient access functions.
• Plan and manage provision of pharmaceutical care across pharmacies and patient care areas.
• Coordinate pharmacy operations to ensure service quality, regulatory compliance and financial performance.
• Ensure cost-effective pharmacy service provisions and staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical legislation, regulations and accreditation standards.
• Facilitate pharmacy flow transactions and discharge/transfer processes
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Develop standards to ensure quality pharmaceutical care and customer service.
• Collaborate with patients and staff to design therapy plans and outcomes.
• Manage purchasing to ensure supplies and inventory.
• Close collaboration with Quality Management for continuous improvement.
• Support strategic planning across CCAD in line with regional strategy.
