Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a government-affiliated healthcare network in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on expert medication management, collaboration with physicians, and ensuring safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities include reviewing therapy, advising on drug selection, monitoring responses, educating patients, and maintaining records while staying updated on research and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required.
• Valid UAE pharmacy license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 3 years’ clinical pharmacy experience.
• Pediatric patient exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and manage patient medication therapy in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Provide clinical advice on drug selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medication use, storage, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, policies, and national healthcare regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of pharmaceutical care.
• Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical research, drug developments, and best practices.
