Job summary

American Hospital Dubai seeks a Pharmacy Services Leader to oversee all aspects of hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication use, staff supervision, budget management, and policy implementation.

The role requires JCIA knowledge, aseptic techniques, drug-use criteria, inventory control, UAE pharmaceutical laws, and fluent English/Arabic communication. Bachelor in Pharmacy and UAE licensure with 5+ years hospital supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Licensure as required by country of origin.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy.
• Knowledge of JCIA standards.
• Knowledge of asepsis and sterile products.
• Knowledge of drug-use control functions including purchasing.
• Knowledge of UAE Pharmaceutical Laws.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations within American Hospital Dubai.
• Establish and maintain drug-use control systems in compliance with laws and standards.
• Develop and perform quality management studies.
• Lead JCIA standards implementation in Pharmacy.
• Coordinate with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for staffing and resources.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures and annual reviews.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budget for equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and personnel.
• Collaborate with medical staff on drug-use criteria and evaluations.
• Recruit and assess departmental staff; ensure qualified personnel.
