Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks an experienced Principal Engineer - Bridges & Tunnels to lead major transportation infrastructure design projects in Dubai. You will oversee design from concept to detailed design, mentor engineers, and ensure technical excellence across project stages, while liaising with clients and authorities.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality solutions in UAE’s dynamic transport sector.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Bridge Engineering, or related discipline is desirable.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng/PE/ICE/IStructE or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum 12 years' experience in bridge and tunnel design in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of bridges, tunnels, interchanges and related structures.
Supervise structural analysis, design calculations, reports and specs.
Review and approve designs ensuring compliance with standards.
Mentor engineers and designers within Bridges & Tunnels team.
Support client engagement and design reviews.
