Rayqube in the UAE is seeking an Events Technology IT Technician to ensure flawless on-site IT, hardware installation, and network support for live events. You will troubleshoot IT hardware and software under pressure and manage logistics for installations.

You will manage structured cabling, equipment mounting, server racks, and signal routing, coordinating with fabrication teams and external partners to realize technically ambitious concepts.

Responsibilities

• On-Site IT Support: Provide comprehensive IT technical support during live events, ensuring software, hardware, and network systems function without interruption.
• Technical Installation & Cabling: Manage and execute deployment of event technology, including structured cable management, equipment mounting, and signal routing for interactive setups.
• Fabrication Coordination: Collaborate with fabrication teams and external partners to integrate technical components into custom structures and scenic builds.
• Logistics Management: Oversee transportation, inventory, and on-site organization of technical equipment and assets for event projects.
• Equipment Deployment: Manage the physical assembly and disassembly of IT infrastructure, including server racks, workstations, and AV interfaces.
• Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Coordinate with fabrication partners, control system suppliers, and creative agencies to realize technically ambitious concepts.

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Technology IT Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for delivering flawless technical experiences at live events, requiring a blend of advanced IT support, precise hardware installation, and robust logistics management. You will be responsible for the full technical lifecycle on-site—from structured cabling and equipment rigging to coordinating with fabrication teams for custom event builds.

The successful candidate will act as the technical backbone for our interactive installations, bridging the gap between digital systems and physical environments. You must excel at troubleshooting IT hardware and software under pressure, managing complex site logistics, and ensuring all technical deployments are executed with professional standards of safety and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Site IT Support:
• Provide comprehensive IT technical support during live events, ensuring all software, hardware, and network systems function without interruption.

Required Skills & Experience

• IT Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
• Proficiency in hardware diagnostics and software troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, networking).
• Advanced skills in structured cabling, networking protocols, and signal management.
• Proven experience in the live events industry with on-site deployment.
• Logistics & Vendor Management:
• Strong organizational skills for managing technical assets and site logistics.
• Excellent communication for coordinating with fabrication partners.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration experience.
• Willingness to travel for installations, testing, and on-site event support.

Preferred Qualifications (Hybrid Expertise)

• AV/IT Integration Expertise: Strong knowledge of integrating audiovisual systems with IT infrastructure and interactive software.
• Demonstrated event project management experience with tight deadlines.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail in technical documentation.
• Ability to create technical documentation to support communication to fabrication supplier
• Possession of a valid UAE driver license and a personal road vehicle is considered a major asset.
