Job summary

Structural Group, Inc. seeks an Estimator with 3-5 years in construction management or civil engineering to lead takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation. The role involves reading plans, developing cost estimates, and coordinating with project teams.

You will contribute to safety-focused culture, support client communications, and assist in developing project budgets and schedules while working in a demanding, 50–55 hour/week environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 yrs in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Ability to read plans/blueprints
• Experience with take-offs, cost estimates and pricing
• Knowledge of bid setup and change orders
• CRM usage and basic project coordination
• Strong communication with clients and internal teams

Responsibilities

• Define and quantify scope of work and prepare comprehensive cost estimates
• Draft letters and communications to customers/owners
• Ensure timely pricing of materials and subcontracts
• Maintain involvement in change order process
• Prepare estimates with quantity take-offs and labor/equipment costs
• Mentor and assist junior estimators and PE interns
