Job summary

Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Investment Group LLC in Dubai seeks a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to develop accurate cost estimates for ELV and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and automatic gate barriers. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Security Systems / ELV estimation.
• Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, costing, quotations, and tender proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, technical specifications and project requirements for ELV and security system projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and technical and commercial quotations.
• Estimate costs for CCTV surveillance systems, access control, structured cabling, intercom and other ELV systems.
• Prepare estimates for automatic gate barriers, boom barriers, vehicle access control, parking management and related accessories.
• Calculate material quantities, equipment costs, labour costs, installation charges, testing, commissioning and other project expenses.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors to confirm product specifications, availability, delivery schedules and pricing.
• Select suitable equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Conduct site visits and assess installation requirements whenever necessary.
• Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, scope-of-work documents and cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with the sales, procurement, engineering and project execution teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
• Review project margins, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure estimates meet company pricing objectives.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and support the sales team during technical and commercial negotiations.
• Maintain an updated database of supplier prices, material costs and estimation records.
