Job summary

AL Marwan General Contracting Company is seeking a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to lead tendering and cost estimation for road construction projects with a focus on asphalt production, material costing, and project pricing. The role requires strong analytical skills and coordination with internal teams and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and UAE experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in asphalt estimation and road construction.
• UAE experience in road/infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of asphalt production, batching plants and paving operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimation tools.
• Strong analytical, numerical and commercial awareness.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, BOQs, technical specs and scope of work to prepare estimates.
• Calculate material, labour, fuel, equipment and asphalt production costs.
• Obtain, review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Calculate plant production costs per tonne and per square metre; estimate transport and machine usage costs.
• Prepare cost analyses, pricing breakdowns and project profitability projections.
• Monitor market rates and update cost databases; coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Finance and QA/QC.
