Job summary

Wasserman Media in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director, Strategy & Consulting to lead the advisory workstream for a major esports revenue account. You will shape the commercial strategy and go-to-market approaches, collaborating closely with sales, partnerships, marketing and product teams to position and package opportunities for growth.

This senior role requires autonomy, strong commercial judgement and the ability to challenge conventional thinking.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in commercial strategy, sponsorship, partnerships, rights, consulting or a related field.
• Excellent commercial judgement with ability to translate opportunities into recommendations.
• Ability to influence senior clients and multiple stakeholders with clear POV.
• Organised, pragmatic and decisive, capable of managing ambiguity and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial strategy and positioning for esports properties, developing value propositions and recommendations.
• Shape and expand the commercial inventory, pricing and packaging with clear principles.
• Advise on live deals, negotiate levers and build value over time.
• Provide thought leadership using benchmarking and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Drive innovative approaches, tools and models to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Direct go-to-market strategy and sales enablement with compelling narratives and materials.
• Collaborate across sales, partnerships, product, events, content, broadcast, operations, finance and legal.
• Turn deal learnings into actionable recommendations to improve pricing and renewals.
• Manage priorities, junior resources and stakeholder expectations during fast-moving periods.
